Aims & Goals
The primary aim of the Support Engineer is to ensure that systematic and constant support is given to the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of Standard software product including underlying 3rd party S/W
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot issue and resolve Pelican application and 3rd party S/W
- Customer facing call, support, & presentation including assist client in installation related questions and support
- Working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS / SQL,
- Entering and tracking client reported issues in JIRA
- Installation debugging
- Provide 1st level product support for Compliance and Payments
- Answer client calls, participate in call with client
- Communicate with India support office or project team
- Working knowledge of – Windows, AIX, WAS and Oracle.
- Manage and maintain Pelican US VMs
- Manage and maintain client issues log
- Manage and maintain client change requests or enhancement
- Track delivery schedule with Development centre and communicate with client
- Manage and Update JIRA issue tickets and responses to client
- Some working knowledge of Payments or compliance in banking domains
Experience Level & Qualification:
- Experience Level
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical implementation of software at medium or large organization, preferably in financial services industry. Applicant is expected to have a good understanding on key technology such as Web, Database and Servers and some domain knowledge in banks payments and compliance area. Company will train employee in Pelican products.

- Educational Background
- B.S or B.E. in Technology, Math or Science
Essential Skills
- Good knowledge of banking domain and understanding about banking operations
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Some working knowledge of Domestic and International Payments including some of the industry standard formats such as S.W.I.F.T., FED, & CHPS.
- Some basic Knowledge of payments clearing and settlement.
Additional Skills
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Must have inclination to adopt and learn new technology.
- Ability to work independently without much supervision and provide results
Additional Requirements
- Travelling for short period of time at client facility within the US and Canada, based on project requirements on short notice.
- Ability to provide Pelican product technical training
